Website Maintenance

All websites need website maintenance. The domain should point to the appropriate web server and the web server should keep up-to-date software for storing web files and displaying the website to visitors.

As a web server upgrades system and security software, the web code that positions all the text and images may also need an upgrade. Website maintenance refers to one or more developers who make sure the website still works, the pages are visible and the web coding standards are functional with the latest hosting upgrades.

For instance, a browser may understand the code that sets the background to green. If coding standards change or a new version of the browser you use comes out, your website’s background may not show as green any longer.
